Job Opening:  TOWN ADMINISTRATOR

The Town of Johnson Vermont (pop 3500) is seeking its next Town Administrator.  This is the perfect opportunity for someone interested in serving our small community by working up to 32 hours per week as the Town Administrator, OR someone with a strong background in Community and Economic Development to perform both roles in a full-time position.  The Town is eager to investigate opportunities with the right candidates.  Johnson, the quintessential “Norman Rockwell” community, is nestled in the Green Mountains of North/Central Vermont within a commutable distance from Burlington and Montpelier and is home to Northern Vermont University-Johnson.  Attracting the right businesses, maintaining the quality of the downtown area, and strengthening our economic base are priorities of the town, leading to the need for either two part-time positions, one focusing on the administration of Town affairs and the other focusing on community/economic development, or a combined full-time position.

Compensation for a part-time administrator would be subject to negotiation and commensurate with qualifications. For a candidate with the right experience and skillsets a full-time position could be compensated up to $104,000 plus a generous benefits package.  The Town of Johnson is an equal opportunity provider and employer.

For further information potential candidates are directed to the Municipal Resources, Inc. website at www.mrigov.com/career or to contact Municipal Resources, Inc. at 603-279-0352 ext. 330.
