The Johnson Selectboard is the town's governing body, responsible for overseeing municipal operations, budgeting, policy-making, and community development. The board makes decisions on town infrastructure, public services, and long-term planning while ensuring that local government functions efficiently and transparently.

The Selectboard meets the first and third Monday of the month at 6:30 PM at the Town Clerk’s office; these meetings are open to the public.
