NVU-Johnson Food Pantry

Located in the Wellness Center of Senators Hall at Northern Vermont University, the NVU-Johnson Food Pantry assists students in need. Their hours are:​

Tuesday & Wednesday: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM​

Johnson Food Shelf

The Johnson Food Shelf provides nutritious food to individuals and families in need. They offer a variety of fresh vegetables, frozen meats, and pantry staples such as canned fruits, vegetables, and pasta sauces. Located at 661 Railroad Street in Johnson, their hours are:​

Tuesday & Friday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM​
Wednesday: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM​

Food Assistance Programs

Serving Johnson, Morristown, Stowe, Waterville, and Wolcott, the Lamoille Community Food Share provides basic food and grocery items. Their curbside pickup hours at 197 Harrel Street in Morrisville are:​

Monday, Thursday, Friday: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM​
Tuesday: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM​
Saturday: 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM​

They are closed on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

SNAP provides eligible individuals and families with funds to purchase nutritious food. For application details and eligibility requirements, visit the Vermont Department for Children and Families website.​

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

WIC offers nutrition education and supplemental foods to pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, as well as infants and children up to age five. To apply or learn more, visit the Vermont Department of Health's WIC Program.
