JOINT MEETING SELECTMEN & TRUSTEES

Members present: Mike Dunham, George Pearlman, Chris Parker, Stuart Rowe, Gordon Smith, Trustees; Blaine Delisle, Brad Reed, Franklin Hooper, Eric Osgood, Daryl West, Selectmen; William Jewett, Road Foreman; Kenneth Phelps, Water & Light Commissioner, Bob West, Beauregard Equipment, Jared Hosefros, Nortrax Equipment, Rosemary Audibert, Clerk.

Chris called meeting to order.

Blaine stated that have contacted Southworth Milton, Nortrax and Beauregard for quotes on a new backhoe.

Bob West from Beauregard Equipment made a presentation for a Case 590SL backhoe with the following options.

Four wheel drive.

Cab with work light, heater, defroster, signal lights, hazard lights, and cloth suspension seat.

Extendable dipper stick.

Wain-Roy Ulrist -O- Twist w/digging & clean up bucket.

1.5 cu. Yard front bucket with bolt on cutting edge

Flip stabilizer pads; Dual batteries, Ride Control, Radio, cell phone outlets

Jared Hosefros from Nortrax Equipment made a presentation on a John Deere 410E Backhoe with the following options.

Blaine stated that did receive a quote from Southworth Milton, no representative here. Bid was for Cat 426C Backhoe Loader a size smaller than the other quotes.

Willie stated that have tried out all three machines. All ran very smooth. John Deere did have a few options that like better.

Ken stated that he like all the machines.

Blaine moved to accept proposal from Nortrax Equipment for the John Deere backhoe, Gordie seconded. Yes 7, No 1, Daryl abstained from voting. Motion passed.

Mike moved to cut down two maple trees by the Municipal Building, Blaine seconded. Yes 5, No 4, motion passed.

Brad asked about the seniors going in upstairs. Boards stated that from the beginning have been told that they could use the upstairs but it would not be exclusive.
