SELECTMEN’S MEETING

April 30, 2001

Members Present: Eric Osgood, Daryl West, Brad Reed, Blaine Delisle, Selectmen; Rosemary Audibert, Clerk.

Eric called meeting to order at 6:45 p.m.

Eric stated that Johnson State College has requested a waiver of the Town noise ordinance for the annual spring fling concert to be held on Saturday, May 5, 2001. This is an outdoor multi-band concert and barbecue. Would like the waiver from 4:00 p.m. to midnight.

Blaine stated that should not grant any waivers, because what if college students want to have a band at a party in the Village would have to grant a waiver. Sets a bad precedent.

Eric stated that this is different; the school sponsors this. Blaine stated that is selective law enforcement.

Daryl moved to give Johnson State College a waiver from the noise ordinance from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and to have on site security, no more than 5 complaints, after 5 complaints tickets may be issued, and to turn the speaker away from the Village. Brad seconded. Eric, Brad and Daryl voted yes, Blaine voted no. Motion passed.

Brad moved to adjourn, Daryl seconded, so voted.

Meeting adjourned at 6:53 p.m.

Respectfully Submitted by

Rosemary Audibert, Clerk
