The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. with harp music and then some speeches, introductions, etc., with a song comprised for the bridge and after the ribbon is cut a parade of old cars lead first by the local boy scouts bearing the colors, next by the Johnson Fire department's 1935 Reo, and followed by old cars. These will be the first and only vehicles to pass through the Covered bridge as we then will shut down the highway for the day to pedestrians only. The rest of the day will be filled with activities throughout the Village some of which we have listed below:

Natterjack- Irish traditional and other traditional (after festival in front of Ryan Books)

Mark Struhsacker and Tony Washburn- two members of Radio Rangers
Vermont Dance Collective- multicultural dancing
Tammy Fletcher- need we say more
The Parsnips- fiddle group performance and dancing
Heidi Soos, a harpist, will perform as part of the ceremony and again later.
Davey John will perform his composition written for the bridge
Steven Wringle, a clown from New York, will also be involved
