MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATOR

New Municipal Administrator Duncan Hastings and his wife Deb.

Village Trustee Chair Chris Parker, SelectBoard Chair Eric Osgood (and son),

introduce and welcome Duncan to Johnson.

February 19 brought Town and Village employees to the Municipal Office along with interested citizens, and officials from the Town, Village, and County to welcome the first Municipal Administrator for the Town and Village of Johnson.

Compliments were graciously provided by the College, and we thank them for help making this a very special occasion.

Our new Municipal Administrator comes to us as a native Vermonter, and the last 10 years as Town Administrator for Georgia. After graduating from Woodstock Union High School he started his first career as a Farrier, graduating from New England Farrier School, and owning a ornamental iron works/blacksmiths and general repair shop, before attending Woodbury College for Community Planning and Administration.

He has worn many community hats to include Zoning Administrator, Health Officer, Planner and staff to ZBA and Planning Commission, Fairfield Library Board of Trustees, Fairfield recreation planning committee, Fairfield School expansion committee, Fairfield LESA Committee, Franklin County Rest Area Task Force, VLCT Quality of Life Committee and Transportation Committee, Champlain Valley Office Vt. Land Trust prescreening committee, Board member of Vt. Council on Rural Development, and Band manager and piper for Pipes and Drums of St. Andrews Society of Vt.
