Johnson really
is very lucky...someone pays attention to details. These
details are not ones obscured by the presumptions that
many things happen in our community as a matter of the
course of our daly lives..no, these details are visible.
A splash of color attached to our utility poles...even
larger splashes of color emanating from the tops of
old barrels on Main Street...aren't flowers just the
nicest touch to raise the spirits, even on a rainy day?
And the sound of the water truck on its route early
on summer mornings to ensure the flowers are bright
and healthy...easy to take for granted, now I'll tell
you. But take it away, and we surely would miss it!
And the Millennium Parade...another "splash of
color" that our community had the benefit of enjoying!
How about the Cold Spring, a comfortable way station
for both residents and travelers alike. ..always looks
colorful and comfortable, doesn't it?
This years Annual Report is dedicated to Sharon Burns,
Patsy Hubbard, and their 'significant others" for
paying attention to the details that spell the difference
between just a place to live and a vibrant, neighborly,
and yes, a colorful community that enriches our daily
lives. The Village and Town thank you for providing
us with such important details.
